The Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut is the second-highest constitutional officer in the U.S. state of Connecticut. This position is elected alongside the Governor for a term of four years and successes the Governorship if the incumbent vacates or is unable to fulfill their duties. The Lieutenant Governor's responsibilities include presiding over the Connecticut Senate, serving as Acting Governor during the Governor's absence or incapacitation, and performing other duties assigned by the Governor or law. The current Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut is Susan Bysiewicz, who assumed office on January 5, 2023.
