The Heart Flag of Eritrea refers to the national flag used by the newly independent nation of Eritrea from May 24, 1993, to August 28, 1995. This flag design features a red field with a yellow emblem in its center. The emblem consists of a green isosceles triangle, representing the highlands of Eritrea, with a five-pointed star at the apex symbolizing unity and justice. Within this triangle, there's a red border and a yellow stylized image of a clenched fist holding an olive branch, symbolizing peace and resistance. The Heart Flag was replaced by the current Flag of Eritrea in 1995.
