The Former Flag of Omsk, Russia, is a historical emblem that represents the city of Omsk between 1937 and 1991. The flag consists of three horizontal stripes in the colors green, white, and red, with the city's coat of arms placed at the center. The green stripe occupies the upper half of the flag, symbolizing agriculture, while the lower red stripe represents industry. The white stripe in the middle signifies peace. The Omsk coat of arms features a shield divided into four quadrants, each showcasing aspects significant to the city's history and economy, such as a cogwheel (industry), an ear of wheat (agriculture), a tree (nature), and a falcon (power). This flag was replaced by the current design following Russia's shift towards a more democratic system in 1991.
