This design is made completely in the hoop. Sew the design elements out and before the last outline and tab step remove your hoop from the machine and add backing of your choice. I use inexpensive black pleather for a sturdy feel but many people use craft felt, too!
Use High Quality MarineVinyl or Upholstery Pleather like the ones shown in my example photos, Leather, or even craft foam backed with felt!
These are perfect to use a gift tags as well!
